Organic and recycled cotton have been added to our top materials. We sew bags with a new and fresh look and with ecological knowledge. Eco-friendly bags and other cotton products are a great item to advertise a brand. We sew all our products from all our available in our offer cotton fabrics. Our offer includes 18 standard models of bags, drawstring bags, pouches, cosmetic bags and aprons.
The series of ecological cotton includes organic cotton 150g and 220g in the natural colour, as well as recycled cotton 150g also in the natural colour.
We use the same printing methods on organic bags as we use on other products which are available in our offer. It is possible to make an imprint by screenprinting, DTG printing and thermal transfer printing. Mart’s Bags products are known for it’s high quality bags and aesthetics in every detail. Currently, organic and recycled cotton bags fit into the TOP list of ecological products. We sew all our products in Poland.
Organic material is a material that is closely related to plants and animals. The standards and terms for the production of organic materials are strict and apply to plant cultivation, animal life, production and packaging. The processes of creating materials are carefully controlled to ensure that no inorganic contamination, chemicals or antibiotics enter the production process. They should be entirely organic, as it will ultimately affect the finished product. Moreover, these terms are intended to promote the best cultivation methods and should be environmental friendly.
Farmers are well aware of the methods of growing crops on organic farms. These methods are prescribed by law and must be secured. Farmers take a holistic approach to farming, for example by using natural fertilizers. They are complemented by artificial fertilization of plants, pesticides and inorganic processes during production. The soil should be fertile, rich in nutrients, fertilized with organic substances such as manure or compost. Animals should live in a free range. In addition, genetically modified ingredients are prohibited. This is because organic farming itself promotes health and ecology on the farm, meaning healthy, organic production.
Remember that inorganic production contributes to the climate change. For this reason, the principles of organic farming prohibit artificial, chemical fertilizers and organic materials require careful packing and appropriate labels or labels with a certification code.
Eco-fabrics made of fibers obtained from recycled materials are textiles that go through many stages. There are productions that reuse materials from used clothes, waste from the first garments production, recycled yarn, regenerated fabrics or PET bottles. The recycled material is the basis for making bags. This type of production allows to reduce the generation of waste and the developed processes of raw material recovery and the creation of very high quality products.
The textile Industry is constantly evolving and developing in the field of the use of secondary raw materials. Companies are constantly looking for new possibilities of producing fabrics. The production is more and more conscious and has an increasing positive impact on the natural environment. Fabrics that are used by Mart’s Bags for the production of each bag model are checked and authorized by the Textile Exchange organization with the Recycled Claim Standard Certificate.
The Oeko-Tex standard is a certificate that confirms the quality of textile products designed for the direct contact with human skin. Granting the certificate is preceded by tests to verify that the material does not contain at least one of the hundred most dangerous substances that could be a risk to consumers. Research carried out in laboratories contributes to the creation of products that are free from agens that have a negative impact on human health.
The Oeko-Tex certficate comes from the German Hohenstein institue and the Austrian Institute of Ecology, Technology and Innovation ÖTI and is aimed at veryfying and emphasizing the quality of products, setting strict standards, minimizing the use of harmful substances in the production proces, caring for animal life, raising awareness among farmers, producers and consumers and finally marking the products and consumers, as well as marking the products with a specific label with a logo and name of the institute and the certificate number. Eko-Tex certified materials are also used to create products such as bed sheets, children’s underwear or fabric bags.
GOTS, or Global Organic Textile Standard, confirms that the products are made of at least 70% organic raw materials. More precisely, we divide the GOTS certificate into organic, meaning ecological materials and “made with x% organic”, meaning materials are produced with the use of ecological raw materials. The first variant assumes that the products consist of at least 95% of certified ecological fibres, while the second category confirms the use of at least 70% organic materials in production. During production, it is allowed to use a maximum of 10% synthetic fibres can be used. The exception may be the production of leggings or sportwear, where up to 25% of artificial fibres can be used. The dyes used must be biodegradable. The origin of GOTS-certified materials must be natural and the cultivation must be carried out using ecological methods and based on strict international terms, defined by the IWGO GOTS organization, which grants the certificates.
The certification process monitors the entire process, from cultivation and harvesting to environmental work, processing and packaging. Certified products cannot contain genetically modified raw materials. In addition, producers should use a closed water circuit during production. In the case of the fabrics such as cotton, this is very important as this material is wet-spun. The certificate covers products such as: fabrics, nonwoven materials, domestic textiles, clothes and others. Only leather products are excluded from the certification. Certification is granted every year and is valid for 1 year. The verification of the certificate takes place every year for more thorough quality control and compliance with the requirements.
The RCS certificate, meaning The Recycled Claim Standard, was created for the purpose of monitoring textile production that uses secondary raw materials. The originator of the idea is the organization Textile Exchange, which aims to ensure the quality, traceability and verification of documentation related to recycled materials in the product. The certificate is awarded and accepted globally.
During certification, materials, raw materials and methods of their production are checked. The final product is a mixture made of one or more raw materials of various percentages. Verification allows for transparent production. The RCS certificate ensures product quality and increases awareness of the possibility of reusing individual materials.
Fairtrade certification confirms social, economic and environmental aspects of production according to Fairtrade Standards, that are the same for Producers and Traders worldwide. The Fairtrade system monitors the whole process buying and the selling of the product. Certificate confirms that the farmers worked in dignified conditions. Certificates are issued only after confirming with a physical inspection that the production is all relevant to Fairtrade Standards.
These materials are durable. In addition, organic and recycled materials are ecological and made with the environment in mind, which is their advantage over standard or synthetic textiles.
What can be produced from ecological materials? Organic and recycled cotton are materials that are ideal for sewing products such as material bags, cosmetic bags, pouches and drawstring bags.
